I had the absolute privilege of learning from the brilliant Emily Erker as we sat down to talk all things LinkedIn, and how to use it to boost your podcast visibility. The conversation is in German and if you are a German speaker, you will want to listen all the way to the end. Because Emily’s energy and personality are pure sunshine, you’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and you’ll walk away all fired up to show up more boldly (and strategically!) with your Podcast on LinkedIn. She reminds us that it’s not about being perfect, it’s about being ourselves. And the best part? There are a few simple tweaks you can make on LinkedIn right now to start getting more visibility for your podcast. Find the summary of the highlights of the conversation in English below.

1. Start with a Solid Foundation
- Make sure your LinkedIn profile does the talking for you:
- Add your podcast to the Featured section. (You can check out how Regina does that on her LinkedIn Profile)
- Mention it clearly in your headline (your profile slogan) and About section.
- Use keywords that reflect your podcast’s themes and what you want to be known for (like “career transitions”, or “marketing”, or “sustainability”).
- Add those keywords to your Kenntnisse (Skills) section – and get endorsements to back them up.
- 👉 For more inspiration, check out Emily Erker’s profile, she nails this.
2. Connect with Your People
Be intentional with who you connect with. Seek out people who’d resonate with your message or might become listeners, collaborators, or clients. A short, friendly note goes a long way.
3. Add Your Podcast to the Contact Info
Don’t forget to link your podcast in the Contact Info section. Include a universal podcast link (more on that further below).
And if you share your phone number, always add the country code so people can actually reach you from anywhere.
4. Start a LinkedIn Newsletter
Repurpose your podcast into a newsletter: Share episode takeaways, reflections, or behind-the-scenes nuggets.
Newsletters don’t just disappear in the feed like posts do, they stick around. And whenever new people connect with you, they’ll see your newsletter and can catch up on past issues.
It’s a great way to deepen the connection and keep your content working for you long-term.
And OF COURSE, add the link to your podcast episode in the newsletter. Use a universal link (you can search for your podcast on pod.link or episodes.fm or from your media host) so people can listen on their preferred app or directly in the browser. Not everyone uses Apple or Spotify. Here’s an example for a LinkedIn newsletter example promoting a Podcast episode.
4. Stay Human
Don’t let AI speak for you. Your voice (messy, funny, thoughtful, real) is what people connect with. Comment on people’s posts, engage with them, pop in their DM’s (maybe even with a quick voice note) People notice if a bot was writing a message. A real comment or message from a real human always wins. Even if there’s a typo in it.
Being real always makes the biggest impact. This episode with Emily is living proof. Even if you don’t speak German, just listen in for a few minutes. You’ll feel the vibe and the energy she brings. THAT is what moves the needle.
Being yourself. Showing up with honesty. Letting your voice be heard—even if it’s imperfect.
That’s where the magic happens. That’s where growth begins (professionally and personally!) right in front of your eyes (and ears).
